Late Shri Vishnu Ganesh Abhyankar was the visionary founder of Abhyankar Footwear and a pioneering entrepreneur whose dedication, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality laid the foundation of the company’s enduring success.
Originally from Rajapur in Ratnagiri district, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with a strong determination to become self-reliant. After acquiring technical education and valuable industry experience in Mumbai, he established Abhyankar Footwear in 1964 with a simple yet powerful mission—to provide durable, high-quality footwear to customers.
Starting as a small manufacturing unit for leather and rubber footwear, his unwavering focus on quality and customer satisfaction earned the trust of generations of customers. Under his leadership, Abhyankar Footwear became a respected name in the footwear industry, particularly known for its authentic Kolhapuri craftsmanship, durability, and reliability.
His values of integrity, innovation, hard work, and customer-first thinking continue to guide the company even today. The legacy he created lives on through the second generation, who remain committed to upholding the standards and vision established by their founder.
